2016 HR Vacationer water selection valve

We are on our maiden voyage with this beautiful rig. However, I broke a rule and tried to change the water selection valve to city water, WITH THE WATER PRESSURE ON. Now its stuck on TANK, and continues to fill the water tank. A neighbor spoke of pulling the valve and reseating a rubber O-ring inside. I am mechanically competent, so doing it is not intimidating, but instructions would sure help.

Anybody fixed this problem before??

Do you have an Anderson valve? They can be hard to move. It might just take a little more effort. Sometimes I put a glove on, it seems to help.

I would also also turn off the city tap and bleed some water out of the system to relieve the pressure.

Holiday Rambler water slection valve

THanks for the reply. I eventually did just what you suggested. I released the city water pressure and the system on normal over nite. Next morning, all was working correctly.

I sometimes feel sorry for the folks who get into this lifestyle for the first time without realizing how long the learning curve is. We had a class C for 2 years and I thought I'd learned everything on it; Nay, Nay such is not tru.

Thanks again for the helpful suggestion.

Glad I could help. Of course I had to struggle with my valve so I knew what to suggest to you.
