4 button Duo Therm on off switch

Anyone have a part number for the little black vertical slide switch (on/off) for the 4 button duo therm Comfort Control thermostat?
Mine turns off unless you hold it towards the wall.

I don't think you're gonna find that switch since the thermostat is obsolete. You can probably find a replacement thermostat, maybe used but OK.

Just a thought for an inexpensive fix...
Un solder the existing switch, solder two wires on to the board and run them down inside the wall to a wall switch. One switch, .49c, shallow cut in box maybe three bucks, switch plate, .99c. Problem cured.

Huge hole in the wall... PRICELESS!!!

Seriously though... If you can't find a suitable switch, there have been many CCCs on ebay for $50. Like this one

There are a couple of guys that rebuild the old 4 button thermostat. I'd ask them if they can also replace the switch.

Mouser , Arrow electronics or several other suppliers may carry a slide switch that will match.

I canít find it on mouser or digikey
I know itís a 3 pin pcb mounted right angle vertical slide switch. Itís says SW5 on the printed circuit board.
Adding a new switch would work. I think there must be a contact spring internal to the black on off switch. If I press the switch towards the way (against the spring) it stays on.

You might want to try some spray electrical contact cleaner. Spray it in/on the switch and then move the switch back and forth a bunch of times. This has worked for me before on other electrical parts.

As it turns out I had 12 volts on both solder Joints for the switch. Then I determined if you wiggled the switch it would cut off. Desoldered and resoldered the switch to the board and it works again.
Found this hint on the web too.

https://rvwarriors.com/duo-therm-the...oubleshooting/

If your switch is intermittent try to resolder the mounting pins to the circuit board.

Glad it worked I'll put it in my memory bank I have same. Many times thread goes dead OP never gets back ,no solution, I sold it , burned for insurance money "it's not as bad on this sight " I just found an internal soldered on micro automotive fuse in my inverter dead . Repaired with solder, staycons, wire and fuse I already had.
