94 Holiday Rambler Imperial

Hi all. Looking at purchasing a 94 Holiday Rambler Imperial in excellent condition. Any known issues with the coach that I should be aware of? Also, the headliner has started to come off in 2 small areas, but I'm hoping that shouldn't be too much to repair...any insight on that as well?

Thanks in advance!

Well, your possible purchase pre-dates me by about 10 my comment will be fairly broad: Get a warranty (or understanding) of some sort from the seller if you can. Assuming the mechanics are in good order, then the age of the tires (if 5 or more years old) is of great concern. A rig of this age can treat you well, but my thought is that you need to be mechanically/electrically savvy rather than pay someone to correct minor problems. Of course, check the roof thoroughly for aging & possible leaks.

We bought a 1996 Holiday Rambler Imperial back in November and have been updating and fixing things since then. I found that good records from the original owner have been valuable. One example: I found that the original owner had spent over $3000 on alternator repairs and replacements. From that I surmised that the problem was other than alternators and was able to find the real problem. Other documentation on parts and appliances as well as wiring and plumbing diagrams are helpful. I probably would not have bought this coach with 160,000 miles had it not been accompanied by full service records and invoices.
