How many switches do you have? If more then one you probably have a latching device and the switches just sends a ground signal to the latching device to open and close it.

On my 2002 Windsor I have 4 switch. The latching device is mounted next to the pump and it will control the on/off of the pump. I actually have a relay also as the pump pulls quite a bit of power so they ran a separate power feed and the latching device controls the pump.

I also have a fuse for the water pump in my 12 volt fuse panel PLUS another inline fuse at the water pump itself.

Here is what the latching device looks like, there is a wiring diagram also.

On my '98 Windsor there is a bi directional relay located behind the tank level panel area. Unfortunately in my 5 years of owning it I have never been able to locate a full wiring diagram.

Closest I've found is for a 2000 Windsor. Here's a link where you can download the file. Hope it helps.

thanks for the replies, MY water pump has a master power switch located on the panel with the tank level indicators. There is a momentary switch in the bathroom (hence a relay somewhere) and a pump running indicator lamp, also a on/off switch outside at the water sprayer it also is lit when on. I think my problem is the master switch, which is wired very weird (8 wires going to it) shouldnt have to be this complicated! the master switch is wired to some type of radio/ignition module behind the panel of which I cannot dream up a reason for this. Would be nice to have a schematic to make sense of it all!
