98 HR Endeavor intermittent start

5.9L turn key and it will go through dash light sequence and then will click when I turn the key. If I do this several times it will start. Thoughts?

First clean the battery terminals on the chassis battery. (Remember you have both chassis and house batteries.)
Then check the voltage at the battery. If low first charge them and if it will not hold a charge replace them.
If this doesn't fix it you will need to check the wire/cable connections on the starter as well as the ground.

A temporary workaround is to use the "Boost" switch (if your coach has it).

Good advice. Check bat voltage while trying to start. If it drops way down then you know you need to replace them. I use two Group 31 batterys for my engine. About 1800 crank amps.

If the batteries and connections check out , three more things to look at , ignition switch , starter relay ( that some call a solenoid ) that connects to the trans controller to insure you're in neutral , and the solenoid on the starter it's self . All three have internal contacts that can make the system behave as yours is.

Batteries are all good. Will check on the switch and relay.

Had a similar problem and it was the fuel shutoff solenoid. This is what I bought for my 8.3L
