98' HRE Leveler Repair

I need to drop the front drivers leveler(HWH) to get the leaking seals replaced.
There are 4 bolts on the bottom that I can get to(and I think that's all that's securing it) but the entire leveler is encased in a rectangular tube and I cannot see how to get to the hydrolic fitting. Also as far as dropping it what do I need to do to the motor home height wise to be able get the leveler out of the steel tube. I have already called HWH and they only can answer question about the levelers and I called Monaco and they have no idea.
Thanks in advance are all responses.

jim, call me 602-549-3638. i can help.
the fitting for the hose is at the top of the cylinder. it takes a 5/8 inch open end wrench. there will be a couple of 12 volt plugs to disconnect also. after you remove the springs, loosen the bolts, disconnect the plugs, and the cylinder should slide out the bottom.
make sure you have unit at ride height, and if necessary drive up on a couple of boards to give you more clearance.

AZPete, I have a question for you. I have the same 98 HRE rig as OP. The day I bought it, I stayed at the "campground" at the fredrick Colorado Transwest facility where I bought the rig. I leveled and in the morning woke up with front driver side Jack not holding weight and a puddle of fluid on the Jack pad. Transwest said they looked at it and didn't find anything wrong. What could cause this? It is in storage until may now but I would like to know how to verify nothing is wrong. Thanks
