99 Monaco starter glitch

I have a 99 Monaco LaPalma, with a V-10 Ford Gas.
I have a starter problem that no one can figure out.
About 50% of the time when I turn the key all I get is a click, which at times I may turn the key 10-15 times before the starter turns the engine over.
I have had the starter replaced twice, the ignition and the hot lead from the ignition to the starter.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you do to fix it.

Not sure about your Ford but most Ford starter motors have a remote starter solenoid mounted on the fender well close to the battery. If you follow the heavy battery cable up from the starter motor it should run to the starter solenoid if you have one.

This video shows what they look like and how to troubleshoot them. They normally cost under $10.
