99 Monaco Windsor 34 Air Dump Switch does not work

Does any know why the air dump toggle switch would not work? We bought the coach used and it hasn't worked since we got it. The only way we can remove air from the bags is by pressing on the brake until the air is depleted. Takes awhile for this to be completed before we set the jacks down.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Don't know about Monaco, but my dump valve takes forever,Park brake faster & if I'm in a hurry, I pull the rings for the tank drains.

Your system should be similar to my 2002 Windsor.

You have 3 dump valves, one for the front and two for the back. If none of them are working it has to be the dump switch. I would check the connections on the switch.

You could also check each of the solenoid valves individually to see it they are working.

Also, when my I activate my RVA jack system it also dumps the air.

Start by eliminating the simple things first. Is the switch 12 volt or air operated switch?

If 12 volt electric style then check connections with an ohm meter. Open circuit will have 0 ohms of resistance. Closed circuit will have 1 ohm of resistance.

If air operator then verify air moves thru the port when open and no air moves when closed.

Just my 2 cents. When I first got my Monaco I thought the same thing then threw tracking down wiring I found that the air dump only works with the IGN in the run position and only works the jacks in the ACC position who knows why so you may want to try that.

Just a quick question since you have a 99 like ours (except slide): Did your hydraulic resvoir have a dip stick or just a cap? (that's if you have the RVA JII)

On my 2002 Windsor I have the RVA leveling, I do not believe the there is a dip stick. If my fluid is low, when I raise the jacks, there will be an alarm bong. It has only happened to me once, I added some oil and it quit.

this post is for Jimj I Think it's important that you keep the level correct as on my RVA jacks they use the low fluid alarm to tell you left the jacks down if you fill the reservoir there is no way to tell your jacks are down, you can download the manual for the jacks at there web site.

RVA Jacks

Are you confusing the RVA reservoir up front near the step entry or the hydraulic fluid tank in the rear? In the rear it has a dipstick but not up front. I have a 99 Windsor with a slide.

Hope I didn't muddy the water

The HWH pump and tank for the slide does have a dip stick that also confused me at first with the two different systems so close together, my old sportcoach was all HWH.
