On our coach, the deteriorated bushings were easy to spot. Each axle has four large leading supports - two on each side, There are also two side-to-side supports that look the same. Maybe 30-inches long, square tubing, rings on each end. Ten total.

When I first checked the bushings, I went under, grabbed each one and shook it. On some, they moved a couple of inches. Some moved less, and crumbs of the old urethane insert fell out. Others seemed secure.

I replaced all of them. Were I to do the job again, I would be sure to only remove one support at a time. When I removed two, the axle shifted and it was a job to get the supports back in. Also, I would be more liberal with just cutting the bolts with a thin metal-cutting disk and knocking the pieces out.

Make sure you have the new bushings in hand before you start!

I thought I had a front end issue because I heard a clunk when stopping and accelerating.
But it turnout to be the hydraulic ram on the generator slide.

My windsor had a similar clunk and I found that the brake shoe rollers were dry and crusty so I took the drum off and cleaned up everything including new rollers and grease and no more clunk. Good luck. Peter in Maine.
