A heads up on topping off your dash AC on side rad coaches

I recently replaced my expansion valve and dryer on 2000 Dynasty coach AC and attempted to charge the system up but was getting a hi head pressure, the reason for the hi head pressure is on our 98 and up Monaco coaches depends on our hydrolic radiator fan to cool the AC condenser. To solve the problem just use a electric fan on the condenser and then top the AC off according to the out side temp.

My Spartan chassis came with 2 electric fans outside the condenser unit. Once had a guy ask if that was all that cooled the radiator_.

Wish my condenser had a fan or room to install one as the hydrolic engine coolant fan is a poor way to do the job.

I ran my unit until it got warm (in gear, brake set) Once I had the fan "engaged", I charged the unit at High idle. I still did not get the numbers up front on the high side, you will see in an automotive setup, however the low side got close.

I used the total volume according to Monaco as a "get me close" number. Because I used individual cans, I "put more in than spec." by about 10%.
