A roof question......

I have a 09 Dynasty. I am trying to find out which roof material was used. I haven't had any issues so I haven't been on it more than twice maybe. I need to run another co-ax from the dish. To me the roof feels like rubber. The flyer that came with the coach said a fiberglass roof. But this roof is not solid, there is some soft or give in the texture. The build sheet says nothing about it. If it is rubber I understand there were two different types of rubber roofing. I will need to know which sealant would be best. Are there any clues that might tell me the roofing material? What was Monaco using back in the day? Thanks.

Monaco roofing

My 2001 has the one pc. Fiberglass. Some of the other brands have used a rubber of some sort. Is your roof original, or has someone put a coating on it?

It is a fiberglass roof and it is normal for it to move a bit.

Here is the link to your original brochure.

The info should be in it

You may be money ahead to keep the satellite receiver up front and use a HDMI wireless transmitter/receiver setup for the TV

Your roof is one piece Fiberglass all the way. No joint between the rear and front caps.

Underneath is styrofoam and it is not glued together so it will flex and give but shouldn't create problems.

Mine is flexing quite a lot but doesn't crack or leak and I'm on it quite a lot to clean...

Have a great day!!!

Thanks guys, I talked with an old Monaco factory guy and he said yes, it left the factory with a fiberglass roof and yes, they will give a little. I just got confused when a website described the fiberglass as "solid". I'm adding a Dish Hopper 3 receiver and I need to add a co-ax for it to work. Got the new cover plate and some Dicor on the way. Now if that damn white stuff would quit.
