A source for the rocker switch used troughtout?

I broke the black rectangular rocker swith that controls the electric steps. Do you know of a source for a replacement? Doesn't have to have the writing on.

Thanks

Ask for Donna
They do not take credit cards. Must send check or money order first. Ask shipping cost and add it to
your payment. The actuator is called a lid by the vendor. These can be purchased separately or with
the switch. They can put lettering on the switch for you. There are different type lids so describe what
you have or need. They will also need to know if the lid has two areas for light to show through.

I'm trying to talk Proto Fab into making dash panels for the older coaches. They were the original producers. They told me to go through Monaco/Navistar. I doubt they (Monaco) will offer old dash panels. I think this company could make a little extra money if they sold the OEM panels for each year. Mine are cracking in various places where there are screw holes.

2000 & 20002 Monaco Signature:
We needed various Carling Technology switches because of burnt-out bulbs in them. There is a thread in this forum on how to take the switch apart and solder in bulbs and diodes. We chose to replace the switch. We did NOT need any of the removable covers/accuators that are on the front of ea switch.

Here is what I learned.
1) There is a complicated form to fill out and then a month or more wait if you want to order one from a Carling distributor. NOT!

2) The first 4 digits of the old part # are still applicable today. Any other #s are NOT. Page 10 of the following pdf file explains the numbering system http://www.carlingtech.com/sites/default/files/documents/V-Series_Details_%26_COS_0.pdf

3) The switches in our coaches are "V-Series Contura II" sealed rocker

4) Doing a "Carling" search here on this forum, led us to Northwest RV Supply. After talking to Niabi Ruiz there, we determined that they had 2 or the 4 interior Onan start/stop switches that we needed, and 7 other switches totaling $97 including shipping.

5) The search continued because we needed 2 more Onan start/stop interior coach switches. The interior switches are different than the one on the unit itself. 2 lites vs 1 lite, and the # of terminals, etc. I talked to someone on the ph in the tech dept at Carling Technologies. He said the pt# we needed is a V8D1W76B. They told me to look on ebay for the seller "Stu's Switch Supply". I did, but their ebay store didn't show the switch we needed, so we sent them a "ebay message" asking if they sold this pt#. 2 days later, we got a ebay message back from a "Jerry" saying YES they did sell that switch, and for 2 of them it would be $30 total including shipping. We exchanged email addresses and they sent me a PayPal invoice, which we payed, and a few days later we had the correct switches(less covers/accuators). Their email address is jerry.peplau@carlingtech.com The PayPal receipt gives their ph# as the same ph# as that shown on the Carling Technologies website? The return address on the box they came in was the same as Carling Technologies. Conclusion, someone(Jerry?) at Carling has an ebay store.

6) Monaco was of no help. They gave me the name and # of the panel supplier, Actia, whom I called, and again they wanted the complicated form filed out, a 30+ day wait, and they couldn't tell me the cost? NOT!

We hope this helps
