About freezing temps

We are likely to be in sub freezing temperatures before leaving Maine. We have a (new to us) 2004 Monaco Dynasty Diamond IV with aquahot. Is there something I should do, to avoid trouble with the water system?...Bob

Turn on the AquaHot set all thermostats to about 60. Assuming you have an electric hookup. You will be fine. Only uses about 1 gallon a day of fuel.

Head South soon.

Going down the road the engine will circulate hot cooling glycol to the Aquahot. Leave electric and diesel on the Aquahot off. Turn on the thermostats, inparticular the one for the front. In addition to dash heat you will have house heat. These coaches are cool going down the road in anything less than freezing temperatures.

When it is really cold or snowing overnight we keep the slides in.

That is exactly what we are doing with our '06 Dynasty, right now. It is sitting in an RV park in SW Idaho with the AquaHot on with both diesel and 110V, front and bath temps at 60, rear temp at 55, all slides in, all umbilicals stowed except the power cable, air bags dumped, auto "gen-start" enabled (in case the 110V AC source goes away, since we're not staying in it), and the cupboard doors under the sinks and in front of the washer/dryer open for slightly more heat. We are expecting single digit overnight temperatures, in a couple of days. I may move the thermostats up 5 degrees or so, for that night.
