I hang the ignition keys from the crank to avoid that.

drove off one time without putting up the sewer hose. It is amazing how long they get before they come apart along the highway!

Just don't forget The Wife as you leave the campsite.

I think we all have either done or have a good chance of doing something like these examples someday. One trick my Dad taught me after his 30 years of Rving is to do this:
Just when you have gone over everything and are ready to put the transmission in drive, --don't--get back out--do a complete walk-around. Look high (roof, etc.) and low (jacks, tires, etc.) and walk all around the rig. Then get back in and drive away carefully. You may have something on the INSIDE you forgot, but hopefully the OUTSIDE is OK now. Before traveling very far, the co-pilot should know how to do an INSIDE check for any problems.

Going skiing one time & stopped at a rest stop. I could see the snow capped mountains & got excited. Got loaded back up & started back to the interstate. By buddy in the right seat asked me if I forgot something. Said I don't think so but looked at the rearview mirror & noticed wife standing in the parking lot. Oooooooops.

We took our brand new Suncrusier to Nashville to pick up a trailer my DH had bought. Using our GPS to locate a gas station....first mistake . Took us to *ell and gone, but the worst was the bridge we went under (second mistake) looking for that station that wasn't there. Scraaaaape, scraaaaatch, thunk thunk thunk !! The look on our faces were I'm sure priceless . We pull over, no damage thank heaven but you should have seen the little chunks of concrete all over the roof. My DH says throw that (insert bad words) GPS away!!!!!! LOL we didn't but we're not so trusting with it now!!!
