AC power drop out.

While I have your undivided attention let us chat about a real weird situation with the AC.
Two units, only one running, and she starts to take a shower. With the water pump now running just about full time, the AC shuts off for about 6 seconds then comes back on. As long as the water pump is running the AC keeps cycling on and off. This has been an on going problem.
SHOWER TIME, AC MUST BE TURNED OFF. Figure it has to do with the 12 volts DC that runs the Thermostat. When the water pump is running there is not enough DC voltage to keep the thermostat with the correct voltage.
So Mates, what ch think?

A voltmeter will confirm your suspicions. Other possibilities are vibration from the pump tripping the T'stat, or electrical interference on the 12 volt circuit.


Try setting the 'stat 5 degrees lower just before starting the shower as a test.
