Latest U-joint greasing interval is 5,000 miles no matter what brand.

I grease my U joints before each trip. Last coach went 95,000 miles with original U joints. You can’t grease them too much, so have at it. 76,000 on this coach and U joint cups looked good last time I had driveshaft out when changing differential ratio. (Gear set)

Driveshaft angle should not exceed 3° with no more than 1/2° variance between the two. The angle is the difference between the plane the transmission output shaft and the plane of the driveshaft. Same holds true at other end at differential pinion shaft. (Differential input shaft)

How would the 3 degrees be measured - what tool? By the way how do you get a degrees symbol off of a standard keyboard? I suspect raising my airbags to spec would put my u-joint in a cramp.

Wanna see what a u-joint looks like without grease? Yikes... got this from the mechanic tonight. Still waiting for verdict on our ride height... but the disintegrating u-joint and yoke are destroyed. Valuable lesson for us to start greasing regularly. This is a by-product of buying a coach without maintenance records. Still no regrets tho! Hope to be camping this weekend if the shop gets us out in time.
