I had a situation where I wanted to start the coach to bring up the house batteries so I could start the generator. The problem was I didn't want the bags to fill as the coach was dumped and level in my camp spot. Is there a way to accomplish this easily?

There should be a "drain" valve at each end of the coach for purging the air system. You could open both of those valves to let the air escape. Just remember to close them both.

If you only intend to let the coach engine run a couple minutes you could hold the park brake know down to dump air.

The air bags themselves shouldn't start to air back up until the system pressure is around 60 PSI, if yours is like mine.

I don't understand why you don't just start the genny. If the house batteries are flat, I think the genny starts off the chassis battery anyway or both if the battery boost is used.

Do you have a Battery Boost switch, it should provide power to start the generator.

My Generator starts off the house batteries. They were completely dead. Showed no voltage at all on my Fluke. When batteries are that dead, the boost switch would not work because the 4 dead house batteries pull down the chassis batteries.

I considered the brake switch also. I can do that if it happens again and bleed the air as it nears 60 psi.

On my 2002 Windsor the air bags do not fill to "travel" position when I start the engine as long as I leave the auto leveling switch on. When I turn it off the bags will fill.

I always dump all the air before leveling to put the entry door step as low to the ground as possible. sometimes I need to start the engine to air the tires before leaving the CG, and I usually do the the afternoon before we are leaving. That's the reason I don't want the air bags to fill back up!
