Air bags for my 1999 HR vacationer?

I want to finally try to somewhat smooth out the ride of my HR Vacationer.
On smooth roads its great just glides along, but on even the slightest rough road the beating and banging noise is to much !

I'm thinking air bags / air springs could help?

I'm interested in hearing what folks with similar issues have done to their until to help smooth the ride out.

Note...I'm not having swaying or bouncing issues ,just a LOT of road noise coming through the suspension.

Shocks have been replaced along with sway arm bushings.

Thanks for any input!

Hi Rapidroy5858; I don't have experience with your H.R., but using air bags, like Firestone Ride Rite's or Air lift on a chassis, or truck with leaf springs makes a huge difference in the ride. There are a couple of Winnebago models that use air bags in there leaf spring E chassis and can understand it would help improve the ride. That is why when I went looking for a coach I wanted an air ride suspension. Nice and smooth. I installed Firestone Ride Rite air bags on my 1991 F250 4X4 carrying a 10' camper and what a difference going down the road. Again, nice and smooth! Just my experience with adding air bags to a truck and not an RV. Hope someone comes along who has done this on a Ford chassis to give you first had experience. Good luck!
