Air bags won't dump in front

The air dump switch on '94 Monaco Dynasty always worked well to dump air out of suspension before leveling. It suddenly stopped working last week. From reading other tangential posts on the subject, I suspect either dump valves or solenoids. I see 3 suspects near the leveling hydraulics on the firewall. Any help is much appreciated.

Why kind of coach do you have Don? On my coach, there are three solenoids that control the air dump. One for the front and one for each side of the rear. The only other variable in the circuit is the switch and fuse controlling the voltage to the solenoid. It should be pretty easy to measure the voltage at the solenoid when the dump button is pushed.

Maybe check your fuses if you haven't done so already.

Mine did this awhile back, the air controls would light up like normal, but nothing would work to raise or lower, however ride height would work fine in travel mode. Turned out to be a fuse on mine that powered the solenoids, had blown due to corrosion on its blade contacts... took me a better part of a day to find it too lol

Yours is a decade older than mine, but my diagnostic work involved pulling the plugs off the controller box (an HWH box located on the roof of one of the bays) to check for voltages, found nothing out of order, but when I plugged them back in the thing worked fine.

Dirty connections seemed to be the issue. Not very satisfying when you can't point to a specific failed part, but that is the way it goes. Worked fine for 3 years.

I had the same problem! Mud daubers had clogged the exhaust ports on the air manifolds so it could not dump! I used a drill bit the same size as the hole and used my hand (not the drill motor) to twist it, removing the mud!

Those darn mud daubers get into everything!

I had one clog the tiny exhaust of a leaf blower earlier this year. It would start then quickly die under any throttle, I went so far as taking the carb apart thinking it had a clogged jet before I found the darn mud in the muffler.

air dump problem was vacuum venturi attached to mac valve

The air dump worked fine after we removed the venturi vacuum generator unit. It was made by ECO and is no longer available. The fuse labeled vac gen was removed and we installed a electric vacuum pump for a Ford F250 diesel to replace the functionality. It is only to drive the HVAC system. All works fine now.
