Smile Air dump switch??

We have a 2003 Safari Sahara that has a dump air switch that does nothing,I tried it with the key on and off. However when I hit the front jack down button the air is dumped before the jacks go down?So what is the air dump switch for?

On my Winnebago Product with the HWH levelling system, the air dump is to let the air out the air bag suspension. To get mine to work I must have engine off, the key in the on position and have the system turned on. When I push the dump button I can hear the air bags deflating. If nothing else works give the manufactuer a toot.

I have a 2004 Diplomat and the air dump switch lets the air out of the air bags. The motor has to be off and the key in the on position. You should be able to see the air pressure go down if you have a gauge on your dash. It does not do it real fast.

To speed up the process, some folks will pump the brakes VERY LIGHTLY while holding the "dump" sw.

FWIW, when I had that self-same problem where the Air Dump would not Dump Air, it turned out to to be a crusty switch which worked again after spraying it with a cleaner and doing some judicious jiggling.

Of the switch!

I wired my air dump switch directly to a active 12 volt dc source so I don't have to have my key in the ignition and the motor off. I just flip the switch or hold it down if you have a momentary switch. I also removed the brass "noise" plugs from the air release valves. Now the air goes out with a rush and I can hear when it stops. deSanford
