Find the AIR SOLENOID that controls air to the air horns. Likely in the nose of the coach.

Check for 12 VDC to the solenoid when horn activated. On many, the horn is grounded through the horn button.

Ditto Wolfe10, mine weren't working. On our rig, the air solenoid sits in the middle of the generator compartment just above eye level. A wire had come loose. Hooked it back up and the solenoid worked fine, but still no horn. Took the covers off the front of the horns, both were full of mud dauber nests. Cleaned them out and voila the horns work. Good luck with your repairs and God Bless, Ed

My air horns quit working and turned out to the relay on the fuse block. Worked fine and then after 10 hours on New Mexico roads it didn't work. Went straight to the relay and swapped it out and all better.

What yr and model of rv do you have?

Ours is a 2008 Endeavor for example. The air horn relay is in the outside compartment below the driver.

Mud daubers put me out of commission once. Had to take the horns apart to clean them. Now hitting the horn is part of my check list. Just a gentle tap to blast the critters clear.

One more thing that wasn’t mentioned that I’m experiencing right now is the center of the smart wheel, where you press down to honk the horn , is completely made of plastic. There are 4 posts with 4 springs that make the whole assembly float. Pressing down, compresses the springs, electric contact is made, and signal is sent to solenoid.

My plastic posts are brittle and breaking. I did find a replacement at north west supply. Haven’t ordered it yet, but looks like exact same thing.

Check the air line, sometimes it falls off if it isn’t tight

Are they Hadley air horns on a gas engine?

If so the air solenoid needs to be cleaned or replaced. Have replaced mine once so far.
