Air leveling

I have the option to use hydraulic leveling or air leveling. When I use air level on a slight uneven sport the coach sometimes drops so low in the front my steps won’t open. Is this the experience of others using air leveling?

We're both 2004 so single step. I've never had it hit but I've had it an inch off the ground. If it hit I'd just pull the fuse until we left.

I have only air leveling and yet to experience that, though the step has been very close to the ground at times.
