ALADDIN COMPUTER SYSTEM -2004 HR Septer
I sent a couple of notes out to individual members previously, I am new to writing on this system and deleted them accidentally, so here is a small follow-up, and a new question. I asked about finding a Master switch for the Alladin system since I had let mine lose power. I got back a couple of replys and one gentleman provided me with a couple of documents that were better than what I had. I did a whole lot of wiring tracing and some rewiring at the main fuse panel and ended up just having to replace a 7.5 amp minifuse (blown), after I had to clean up several of the mini-fuses on the panel they were just dirty. I was able to restart my Aladdin. I still have a problem and have gone beyond my capabilities with this. The system works, I was able to put in a new date/time, and go through the other items on the first screen finding all of my data in place. The monitor which is a 6.5 inch color TFT LCD, no name or serial number, has a NO SIGNAL across the screen, yet I can read the index reasonably well after I adjusted the screen brightness and contrast to max. The backup camera gives a very grey shadow of a picture. I don't have a clue. I traced all of the wires back to the controller, and the wires and connections appear to be sound. The connection to the monitor is a flat pin that has 8 lanes for electrical connection, and power, but it is only a half inch wide where it plugs into the monitor, the cord from the monitor is about 1 foot long and splits into a power cord (12 volt) and a 4 pin round cable that has a tag on it dating back to 2003 and then 12-18 inches away plugs into the controller in the video 2 spot, the power also goes to the controller, but I can't tell where it connects as it is underneath the controller that is permanently affixed.
Does anyone have an idea that might help. I hope it is not the controller and am prone to think the monitor is bad (I dropped it recently when trying to move it about when I was trying to find the power problem), it is not obviously broken, they are very expensive through the DEALER network, I am not sure but think a new "backkup" monitor could work. I appreciate any help or opinion.
