Aladdin monitoring system
We just got a 2004 Holiday Rambler Imperial and it has the Aladdin monitoring system in it. About the only thing I have used on it is the rear camera. We are parked in Houston and two days ago I started hearing a loud "bong" about every 3-4 minutes. Then it would quit for sometimes several hours and then start up again. I finally tracked it down to the monitor that has the camera view and all the things like the radio, etc. Started reading the manuals and looking at this thing and there are 18 alarms that can be set but all them are in the "not enabled" mode.. What I am trying to do is find the cause of the alarm. I have gone to one HR dealer and another kind of dealer and HR service didn't know anything about Aladdin and the other one had never heard of it. Manuals are really NO help at all. Hoping someone on here has some experience with this system and clue me in as to what that alarm could be. Thanks.

No idea what the bong is however father in law had same system on his Dynasty and did the same thing so we removed the fuse and it reset itself and no more bong.

Thanks. Now could you perhaps tell me where to find the fuse?

The only fuse I have ever found for my Aladdin system was in the rear run box and it is labeled as such.

If it is really coming from the Aladdin system, you can control the volume of the alarm with the volume control on the monitor. Since you say that none of the alarms is enabled, I'm wondering whether it could be coming from something else. If you have hydraulic levelers, they are a frequent source of intermittent "bongs".
Our Aladdin has a reset switch in the storage compartment above the driver's left shoulder.

Just to let you know that my full Aladdin system in my Sig has NO alarms in it but mine is not part of the radio display like some are. mine has its separate monitor.

I'm surprised that yours does not have the alarm component. Ours has its own monitor as well, but it shares it with the backup camera. (I added an independent monitor for the backup camera years ago.)

Dave, I can set a maintenance due alarm but that is it. What alarms do you have on Aladdin?

Mike, on mine I can set alarms for 18 things such as speed, RPM, oil temp, oil pressure, water temp, trans oil temp, chassis bat voltage and 11 more items. I found it on page 11 of the Aladdin Manual and how to set it up. This is not in the troubleshooting guide I have.

The system has a "Compare Alarm" menu, where I could set alarms related to about 15 different items that the Aladdin system displays, everything from levels in each tank to engine measurements to outside temperature. It can set alarms for less than, less than or equal to, equal to, greater than, etc. for each of them. There are alarms for setting the maintenance scheduler as well, so once you set the mileage at each maintenance item you can set an alarm to go off when you are within x miles of that event.
The only use I have made of any of these over the years is to set an alarm for less than or equal to 100 percent of the fresh water tank. I often turn that one on when filling the tank because it takes so-o-o-o-o long that I tend to forget about it and overflow the tank.

It does have the alarms (18 in all) but I checked them and none of them are enabled. The Aladdin uses the same monitor as the camera, nav, etc. Last night, after 20-24 hours with no noise, it started up again. I investigated one more time and found a speaker under the dash directly under the monitor and that was where the noise was coming from. At that time I also noticed that the red light for Aladdin was on. I opened the monitor, powered it up, brought up the Aladdin menu and powered down the VCM. Red light on Aladdin went out and no more bongs! Maybe it was just telling me that it was still on and wanted to go to sleep! I really don't know much about the coach yet as we have only had it about 4 months and this is our first real trip. I did find one other interesting thing while looking under the dash. There is a bundle of 3 wires together in that hang down with a tiny little red button on the end of one wire, a black button on another and a little red light on the end of the 3rd wire. I have NO idea what they are. Thanks for your help and also the other fellows who gave me info.

I think those 3 wires bundled together with the red light are for the key less entry. You can change the code to unlock the coach..
