Aladdin Oil Pressure reading

My Aladdin system (2004 Monaco Dynasty) always reads the oil pressure as 55 psi. My analog gauge reads correctly i.e. 70 psi when cold and 40 psi warm. Any ideas on what might be the problem.

My scanguage d always shows 55 or 55.5 psi all the time on my 07 neptune. I was told they went away from the specific pressure reading to just show that it has oil pressure. So I assume it's normal.

The aladdin gets it info from the engine ECM. The ECM sensor is basically a switch on some Cummins engines. The analog gauge is a separate sensor.

I had to replace my oil pressure sender when the analog gage was reading zero, but the Aladdin still read 55 psi. The sender had two terminals, one for the analog gauge, and one that was an on-off that was just for the Aladdin system. The Aladdin system does not report the actual pressure, but defaults to 55 if that switch is closed.

Aladdin Oil Pressure reading

Gee my scan gauge shows about 70 psi when cold idle. About 25 psi warm idle and 60 psi when running the highway. My gauge shows the same information. A constant 55 psi would bother me. JMHO.

Now I'm confused

From the first few responses it sounded like what mine showed was "normal" but now it seems that many not be the case.

Would be nice to get a definitive answer. Maybe I should try either Monaco or Silverleaf.

It seems that there was a time period that Cummins used a sensor that was a go/no go switch on the ISL. These switches read as 55 psi when the oil pressure is within limits. This subject come back to life from time to times as new owners come onto the forum.
