Aladdin Reverse feed?

2004 Dynasty..

Adding a new screen for the BU monitor, look for the feed from the Allison or back up lights to trigger the monitor. I checked the buss tap connections in the front that feed the video switcher but I suspect they are using the data feed and not a 12 signal..
The trigger out of the switcher is 12 volts but it's always on unless the Aladdin system is off.

Guess I need to know where I can pull the reverse trigger from up front if possible. If not I will just use the spare harness and feed it from the back as a last resort.

Thanks

I'd like to know too. I know that the Aladdin supports more than one screen, but I think it's just a mirror not separate info.

Any reason to not have it on all the time? I would be lost without mine. Just curious.

I ended up just pulling the feed from the backup alarm, I had already found the spare harness that runs front to back when I put in my US GEAR brake system.

I now have a reverse signal and all is good, going down the road I can have the camera and Aladdin info on the display and when backing it goes full screen.

I am using this, no audio but then I never used that anyway:

3 Kings Sales - PYLE PLHRQD9B 9" WIDESCREEN TFT LCD QUAD VIEW MONITOR WITH REMOTE

I am using a step down power supply to power the camera, Sony witch is 8.1 volts.
In the future I may add two more cameras but for right now I am just happy to have a bigger screen.

My sony monitor was still working OK, but I removed it and put this in the dash. Had to make the hole wider which was fun as the sony mounts were spun welded to the abs panel. The height was the same as the old unit.

I will get some pictures this week when I get a chance.
