Alternator 2000 Diplomat

In the process of putting a new alternator in my 2000 Diplomat with the 8.3 cummins I can figure out where the positive and negative cable go but am unsure of the three smaller posts and which of the three wires go to each. The new alternator has the same number of posts but are in different places and not labeled in any way. Was hoping someone has run across this at some time. Thanks, John

What was the manufacturer of the old alternator versus the new??

My alternator was a Leece Neville, when it failed I had it rebuilt but I marked all the wires and took pictures so I could reinstall.

You might email Prestolite (who owns Leece Neville) and request the information you are looking for. ktaylor@prestolite.com is who I had emailed for a new alternator model if mine couldn't be repaired.
