Aluminum Roof sealing 2002 HR

Old 2002 HR Vacationer with aluminum roof so only need to re-seal the seams, one long down the middle and several cross pieces (and of course all the "small stuff on top").

Not an EPDM roof.

Question must I remove all the old sealer or just coat over ?

Any suggestions on how to remove and best product for the new sealer?

Thanks Tom

Really your roof is just like the other roof's with Dicor just better.

Here is a video on what to look for with your aluminum roof.

Darren over at MyRvWorks.com shows one way to get some of the stubborn dicor/sealant/tape off in this video about the 3 minute mark. Generally it's difficult but elbow grease and maybe some heat and even the vibrating tool in the right situation.
