Another broken windshield

I have a 2007 Monaco Camelot. I just had alliance coach in wildwood fl install a new windshield a month ago and it just broke setting in my driveway. I love the coach, it only has 42,000 miles on it. What are my options. I guess it has set in the driveway for 2 week. The air bags going down I guess put the chassis in a band and cracked the windshield.

What type damage do you have now? Is it a crack starting from an edge and if it is is it in a similar location to the last damage?

I don't know how many coaches DON'T bleed down more on one corner(s) than the other corner(s), but as a precaution whenever we park our coach for more than a couple of days, if it is not connected to shore power with the leveling system in "Auto", we dump the air. CAVEAT - If your coach is not parked where all four corners are on the same plane, that won't help as the coach will still twist to match the "lay of the land" when the bags deflate.

But you are right, it is very possible that twisting pushed the windshield to the breaking point. I'm so sorry!

Pogo --Did you purchase your coach new ? Some Camelots of that vintage had/has a problem with the front cap -- The windshield opening was not the correct size -- Monaco had a fix for that problem, & repaired it under warranty -- It was called a "Halo" that was installed in the opening -- I doubt if REV tech would know anything about it -- Bill Willard

I've owned the coach for a year and half. The break starts at the bottom corner and goes all the way to the top. I've noticed the vertical trim on the drivers side where the front caps connects is starting to bow. Monaco (rev group) sent me a halo info for my year. I'll call the rev group in Indiana tomorrow and see what they say.

It sounds like you may have a handle on the cause.
