Another City another problem

Well here we are in hot, sunny ,dry, brown Boise ,Idaho, wow no rain at all since the snow melted, this would not be high on my list of places to live. We spent the last day and a half at the Navistar dealer dealing with a problem with the DPF .The Malfunctioning Indicator Light flashed for the last 100 miles before arriving here but upon arriving at the dealer it stopped They hooked it up to there computer and did all kinds of tests, sent them to Navistar and after several test drives could find nothing wrong. I left the dealer and within 2 miles the light started flashing again. Took it back and they got to test it with the light flashing and the result was they had to drop the DPF and replace the pressure sensor. We made it back to our camp ground with out it flashing so we have our fingers crossed that it is fixed....Alan

That sucks Alan. We got home from Gillette last Saturday, about 2500 miles total. Not one problem except the A/C couldn't handle the 120 degrees heat here. At 14000 miles I still haven't seen the DPF system do a regen. I hope that sensor is what has been causing your problems all along...

Hi Alan! Man, that's a bummer for sure! Hope they got it fixed!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
