Another Fridge Story!

'95 Monaco Dynasty, model 683, 3way fridge. I have run out of things to test! Works on shore power. Barely cools on LP in lower but gets cold in freezer. Ran it last nite on LP (empty) and this morning's temp was 34 in lower. I have done ALL the known tests and cleaning. Had fridge out and cleaned boiler tube etc.. Found nothing unusual. A couple hours ago it was up to 50 degrees. Outside temp in upper 80's.. Dave Force who sells cooling units told me that if it cools on elec that it's not the unit. I was advised to adjust pressure regulator. Not helping. Also checked door gasket. This all started when I was knocking out crud from the boiler tube.(tapping on screw driver with hammer at flame) Baffle checked ok. I have nothing left on the to-do list!! There is something I'm not seeing! Help! thx

When running on propane, try looking at the burner flame. You should have a nice blue flame. You may have knocked some crud down on the burner and now the burner is only working 50%. Pull out the burner and clean it. Also the small gas jet that supplies gas to the burner should be cleaned. Use some caburator cleaner for that. I've seen that gas jet get plugged up by a small spider web.

Let me ask this,,,,,should I remove the insulation between the back of fridge and outside wall? It fills the entire space between coils and wall! I have read that some units have fans back there so in my mind insulation would retard the cooling of the fins etc.

Rick.....I would do as Sammie says, including disassembly from the jet to the burner. The air flow tube with adjustable window should all be removed and cleaned. Spiders also like to make a web inside the air tube. Once its all clean, adjust the window to get the desired flame. Make sure you didn't knock something out of place on the burner assembly and everything is still lined up.
