Any Monaco Owners going to Quartzsite 2022?

Are any Monaco Owners going to Quartzsite 2022? Where are you staying? This will be my first trip to Quartzsite, what should I expect?

Do you think covid will be a problem? I will have had 2 Moderna shots plus booster by then.

Thanks in advance.

We have not been in Q since 2000. Hoping the border will open so we can return. I would be very careful and avoid crowded places. Think of Q being Sturgis for old people.

Hope your right about the border opening soon. I miss spending time at precipice (and a lot of other places) of Niagara Falls.

I've been wondering too. When we were going to the Foothills ( Yuma )
The snowbirds packed Algodones just across the border coming back
with armloads of meds. Since many were from Canada that's 2 closed
borders. Wonder in Algodones is even there anymore LOL
I always felt safe in Algodones, people everywhere, and there were long lines coming back across. Maybe not so true in other places.

Re: Covid - avoid the tent show and wandering amongst the big January crowds seeing the retail sights in town. Hit the grocery stores before 10am. Everything else is spread out nicely.

For what it's worth, the border at Algodones ( Yuma ) is open.
However, for now, it opens at 8 AM and closes at 2 PM sharp.
Apparently, you have gotta be on this side by 2 or stay the night.
I don't know why but that's the rule.

Quartzsite

Pat and Mike will be there. We were there last year. I think we had 12 coaches, a long way from the usual 50. Had a good time anyway. To the OP; Everyone in the Monaco group stays on the BLM. No problems there. Water and dump station available. The BLM fee is $40 for two weeks. The BLM area is called La Posa South. About 2 miles South of town on 95, on the East side of the road. Go in about 1/2 mile, look for Monaco circle on right. Someone will come along with coordinates. Hope to see everyone again in January. Mike

PS Hi Rich and Joan, see you there.
