I was running the standard coolant which I believe was original to the coach. I had tested annually and changed the coolant filter. Just 2 months ago I pulled a coolant sample and sent it JG Lubricant for analysis, came back great (4 SCA, -40F freeze point, 8.7PH, with no contamination or recommendations).

I will probably go ahead and get the final charge since they will have to completely flush and add all new coolant. I'll also have all the hoses changed.

Once they get back with me on my problem I'll let everyone know. I'm hoping it's not the radiator but after crawling under the rig ~6-7 times to try and find the leak I can't believe it's anything else.

I'll have them inspect the CAC and if recommended get it changed. I know it was in good shape because I was pulling ~23 psi boost.

ALSO
I had no signs of problems with the coach as we were driving. All temps were normal and no warning lights, not even the low coolant warning. Just before we pulled off the interstate for breakfast I started to smell antifreeze and commented to my wife that someone ahead of us must have a leak. I didn't think it was possible for us to be leaking. GUESS WHAT, we were big time.

Just another reminder of using all your senses while driving >>> sight, feel, listen, taste, and SMELL!

Where is the coolant filter located?

My coolant filter is located on the engine block in front (toward driver) of the oil filter. It is a smaller filter, about the size of the generator oil filter. There is a shutoff that allows you too close off the coolant circuit when you change.

The coolant filter I have been using is Fleetguard WF 2071 which is listed on the parts page in the manual. This filter comes with a SCA charge of 4, which maintains the recommended level in the coolant. I just bought 3 last year after I used my last one.

From what I understand later models may not have this filter, if you can't see the filter when you look up at the oil filter from below you probably don't have one.

Well, just got off the phone with the shop, my diagnosis was correct, the radiator failed (ain't it a bummer when your right).

They are trying to source a radiator, first source was ~$8K. Needless to say I'm not going that route.

I checked with Monaco, their quote was $6400 + shipping and 2 weeks, they to not stock.

Interesting information though in that radiator in the Windsor with 350 was standard with 1 part number S01803470.

I've sent an inquiry to Price in Alabama and will check tomorrow. Any other sources out there that have recently supplied a radiator for a 2002 Windsor??

Radiator Supply House - What can we build for you?

Try this one, too.

I read on IRV2 that this next group was the original manufacturer of our Cooling stack.

Their web site is not helpful, but you might try them out.

Do have the parts file from Monacoers? There are 10-12 sources.

Did they give you any detail of what happened to the radiator that it would go catastrophic? Did the tank split off the side of it? What is the radiator made of: all steel, aluminum or aluminum with plastic tanks?

Yes, I have the Monacoers Parts listing and am working through the vender list for radiators trying to balance on distance and recommendations.

I'll be calling the shop today to talk to them see what the best option may be and see if they can tell what caused this.

During my searches I found a site that lists all the NHSTA service bulletins and there were several listed for the Monaco Windsor regarding the cooling system. I've sent an email to Monaco asking for copies to see what the recommended actions were. Does anyone have copies of these??

So I got a firm quote from Monaco, $6200 plus crating fee and freight so ~$6500 and probably 2 week delivery.

Got a quote from Radiator Supply House ~$4000 including shipping can get in 1 week.

Getting a quote from C, G, & J but having trouble confirming dimensions.

I will buy direct myself to save markup at shop.

Does anyone have the dimensions and all the hose connections in drawing form?

Monaco had my cooling pipes in drawing form and they sent them to me. I had a lower cooling pipe made out of stainless.
