Anyone recognize this

Anyone recognize this, it is on the dash of my HR Rambler Endeavor LE. Has 2 small black wires going down toward the dash

Looks like it might be a photo diode of some type. Do you have an aftermarket radio or gps that brightens or change color at night. Or does your headlight come on automatically at dusk?

That's what I was thinking but I don't have any of the above. The headlights come on whenever the coach is running.

Looks like a light sensor to me too. Put some masking tape over it and see if it makes any difference to anything.

I just looked closely at the wiring diagram and it Looks like it is a Dusk Sensor. My best guess is that it switches the lights from low power DRL's to full power at dark.

It’s a photo diode which will turn on the headlights when it gets dark. It will also turn on the lights when you go through in a tunnel. I had one on my ‘97 HR Endeavor.
