I'm not sure there's much greener grass to explore... A lot of folks go out of their way to remove their old modified sine inverter and install an MS2812 like you have.
But, if you wind up having to buy a new inverter... Magnum has a new hybrid inverter that has 2 legs of power input and output, just like your ms2812. As far as I can tell, this is the only hybrid inverter that has a 2-in/2-out AC configuration like the MS2012/Ms2812, which makes it a plug-n-play replacement.
If I were shopping for a replacement inverter, I think that's the one I'd buy. You'd probably need to reconfigure some AC wiring to get much practical advantage from the Hybrid aspect though.
Cheers,
Walter

I'm not sure on your Coach - but I'll bet it's very close to how my Coach is set up.

The Transfer switch on my Coach is in the last bay before the drive tires. It is mounted between the frame rails on the ceiling. And the Inverter is mounted just a few feet from the Transfer Switch (also between the frame rails centered in the ceiling of Bay).

This is the only photo I had - not very good. I'm laying on my back in the Bay "looking" up toward the frame rails (the ceiling and real wall of storage Bay).

I replaced my old trace inverter with a magnum hybrid a few months ago. Pic of 18 year old trace when removed.

Use you nose around the converter. Sometimes you can trace the issue that way. Sure sounds like a bad connection or relay contact as suggested.

Electronics don't often go pop off and on and survive very long. Arcing wires can do it thought.

There are many coach fires caused by arcing transfer switches.

I found a wire on one of the pop out breakers on my inverter had burned off. No popping sounds, just one leg of the inverterted output quit.

Remove the inspection cover after removing all sources of 110 volts. Tighten any hold down screws for wires.

Turn off the batteries and disconnect the batteries and remove the cover from the inverter for inspection.

Of course find the transfer switch and inspect that. Mine died and fortunately did not go up in smoke.

Took out my ms2012 and put in the true sine 3012. Could not be happier. Plug and play with all features. 1 thing I did add was the BMK and I had to upgrade my AGN to the network version. Upgraded the remote to access all the 3012 features. Hen, of corse, I put new AGM batteries in. FYI, its pricey, but was worth it me. Boondocked for 3 days, inverter made coffee, toast, waffles, and meet all electrical needs. Ran the genorator only when the SOC state of charge, dropped to 40%. Ran genny only 2 hours total.

Same here. Manufactured in 1999 mine is still going strong. In fact, I just ordered up a NOS battery temperature sensor.

UPDATE!!!!!

UPDATE!!!!!

I am VERY glad to report that we found the electrical problem and it was VERY inexpensive!!!!

Where we're parked - long-term - there is a retired commercial electrician. SUPER NICE GUY!!!!!! He check out my situation and re-looked at our setup.

One of the previous problems - a reoccurring one - is our shore power cord. The original owner replaced the one from the factory with a knock-off plug. It's been a problem since we bought this coach. We replaced that plug with something more OEM. That was several years ago. Since then, even that plug has been a problem based on our travels and plugging and un-plugging at CG shore pedestals. As we did - even though we attempted to be careful - we managed to dislodge the contacts/connections in that plug. Unfortunately, we managed to place too much tension and "pull" on that plug and its contacts.

He opened that plug, verified this loose connection, reconnect it and we are up and running!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ZERRO DOLLARS SPENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But a very large THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zantrex has had two leg for a number of years, 2004 dynasty came with

One. I wish magnum had put theirs out a year earlier.

Nice!

I saw evidence of melting on my Dad's electrical cords so I opened them up and wow. Just wow. I found new high-quality ends and cleaned everything up and put them on.

At the same time I pulled the cover off the transfer switch and tightened all the electrical connections. Another good idea is to pull the cover off the breaker panel inside and tighten all the wires there. I found quite a few loose and signs of arcing!

So those are all things that are smart to do and take very little time. Make sure the power is off before doing any of them.
