Aqua Coolant Level Won't Reset

I have a Aqua-Hot AHE-100-04S. Water heating quit, checked LED panel and found low coolant level light on (red). Added over 1/2 gallon of water and low coolant level light is still illuminated and, of course, aqua hot will not run. Any advice?

Do you have a surge tank? How much fluid had leaked out before
you noticed the low coolant?
My tank has two markings on it....one for COLD level and one for HOT.

You do not want to run dry.

Have you tried the reset button on the panel?

Doug, where did you add the water? Through the radiator cap on the top of the boiler or into the plastic overflow/expansion tank? If you didn't add it in through the radiator cap on top of the boiler then it is probably still low but you need to be adding a 50/50 mix of boiler coolant and water mix (not anti freeze) The big thing is to ask yourself is where did the boiler coolant go. I suspect you have a leak in the system. They have a real problem in leaking out the drain valve in the bottom of the boiler because they used a plastic valve. I had to change mine to a brass ball valve. Got all the parts from Home Depot.

You can jumper the low coolant sensor if you are absolutely positive the coolant level is okay by sticking your finger in the filler of the unit. Roger Burke had me do this when my coolant sensor went bad. They are a cheap plastic float type sensor that can be replaced with a brass sensor albeit more expensive. I also agree you need to find out why the coolant level is low. BTW the reset button is used for a low voltage trip.
