Aqua-Hot circulator pump cycling with power off

I have 2005 Beaver with the Aqua-Hot AHE100-04S.

With the power off (Coach Power switch off) and the Engine Off, I hear a clicking noise from the Aqua-Hot.

I removed the cover and see the Circulator Pump #2 is clicking (it appears that is trying to rotate - the internal impeller just jumps back and forth a little). The other two pumps do not do this. I disconnected the power wire to pump for now.

I downloaded the Owners, Installation, and Service manuals but there is nothing mentioned on this condition.

Has anyone seen this - any idea what it could be?

IIRC, when the AH is turned on one of the pumps #2 (?) runs so as to circulate the fluid in the holding tank. That is, to keep the fluid in the tank from being a different temp from top to bottom. It mentions it in the service manual as I recall. Don't hold me to it, though.

I hope that is all it is.

Someone on another forum thought it might be a circuit board problem. I had all coach power turned off (except that I'm supplying 120V 20A to the shore power cable for battery charging and interior lights) so I don't think the AH is "On" (but maybe it doesn't know that).

I downloaded the AH service and owners's manuals, but didn't see that mentioned. I'll read it again.

Thanks

Another thought, are the thermostats on? Mine are the 4 button Comfort and they have an on off switch. Now that I am reminded Monaco added 4-5 87/87A switches to signal the AH. It may be that they are signaling a pump even though the fluid is not heated.

Roger Berke is the go to guy if you have a question.

I'd contact Roger Berke on his Aqua Hot Forum. He is the resident expert on Aqua Hot systems.
