Aqua-Hot Expansion Tank Location

We are doing our annual inspection - remedial maintenance - on our Aqua-Hot and can not locate the expansion tank. We've attempted to follow the hose from the fill point of the actual tank. But it is quickly buried into many other hoses.

Does anyone know when Monaco would have located this overflow tank?

Thanks.

Mine is located on the front of the unit just above the blower motor.

That's odd

Mine is mounted to the wall in the bay, about 10" away from the AH unit.

My '06 HR Imperial has it in the diesel fuel tank bay mounted to wall above propane tank - fuel filter for AH is on top of diesel fuel tank - all ready accessible. Make sure there is sufficient AH boiler liquid showing in the expansion tank - always check it when AH is cold and hasn't run for several hours allowing boiler liquid to get cold.

BINGO!!!! We have a winner!!!!!

Thanks to all who replied offering directional info.

We just did our 1 year maintenance and found several correctable items:
1. A non-functioning recirculating fan for "Zone 1"
2. A bent/crimped overflow line. I will be:
a. Adding a Ball Valve between the fill cap and the overflow line. This will come in handy when I have to replace the recirculating pump. No antifreeze spillage.
b. Putting in about 2 ft. of hose to eliminate the bend/crimping for the otherwise needed right angle existing now. No more crimped lines!
c. Replacing the cheap tubing with braded line

Enhancement items:
1. Change out the Aqua-Hot Fuel Oil Filter for one that also does water-separation. Not essential, but desirable. There's one for the fuel going to the couch engine! Why not the Aqua-Hot engine?
2. Install two shutoff valves - one for each side of the fuel filter to eliminate spillage when I change out the filter each year
3. Install an inexpensive "manual fuel pump" to be used yearly when I
change the fuel oil filter

All in all, it wasn't all that difficult.

You don't need a water separating filter on your AH. The fuel pickup doesn't go to the bottom of the tank, like your engine pickup.
Water is heavier than fuel !

I need to order at least one recirculating pump:
VD-1-54.14
837 5414 503
6360-103
Made in Germany

Who's purchase one of these and who are the suggested venders you've used?

Thanks.

You can get parts here: RV Hydronic Heater Parts

And a good forum to ask questions.
