Yes

Your aqua hot will also be heated by engine coolant circulation thru it as you drive.

Sure. The motor loop will hear the hot water. On mind the preheat switch is a 120v preheater not yo be confused with the AquaHot system. I unplugged the 120v preheater and use the outlet for switched lighting

Actually, for most of us the real solution is to sell the MH!

If you run down the road and want heat in the coach, all you need to do is have the AH on. The engine heat will transfer to the AH boiler through normal coolant circulation, so the diesel burner won't light, but the circulation pumps won't work unless you have the AH turned on.

It won't hurt to have pre-heat on, but it isn't needed.

My manual tells me to "shut off the engine preheat"
after starting engine.

You may be confusing the electric preheat element (switched) with the AquaHot system. The two are separate unrelated systems.

Yes there are two rocker switches on my rv one say engine preheat. The other say engine block heater.
