Aqua Hot - Where's the Sacrificial Anodes?

Maybe I'm missing something, but I decided to list a number of maintenances issues ahead of time and the subject of replacing the zinc/magnesiom sacrificial anodes appeared before me while at CW last weekend.

I hadn't considered changing the anode out until I saw them at CW, and then I began to wonder which typr are used with Aqua Hot units.

After researching the online manuals for the AHE-100-2S-12 VDC unit I believe is on my 2000 Monaco Executive PLS FD, I could not find any anodes mentioned in the manual.

Which leads me to wonder if the electric hot water side of the AH system utilizes either the Subruban or other unit, and is therefore not mentioned in the AH manual.

There are two items listed on the Window Sticker from my coach, 1) Ten Gallon Hot Water System and 2) Aqua Hot Water System.

So is there an anode that needs to be changed and/or does the Aqua Hot system not need one?

If there is one, where is it located, since the Aqua Hot is center of the basement bay with no 10 gallon hot water system visible anywhere?

There is not a sacrificial anode in the Aqua Hot System. Maybe the tank is stainless steel.

Mike

There is no sacrificial anode in the Aqua-Hot. The electric element is in the coolant and never directly comes in contact with water that is being heated.

The electric elements VERY rarely fail. Most failures on your model are the high limit electric thermostat.

And Roger Berke is the #1 guy for info on the Aquahot system, so go with what he says. I made Aquahot one of my must-haves and I've not been disappointed yet! Awesome system.
