ATC Light and ABS Light ON!
My 2007 Monaco Knight is parked and when I went to exercise the genset and run the engine I noticed both the ATC and the ABS lights were on. How do I troubleshoot this and is is safe to drive? I’ve had no issue with the brakes up to this point.

We had occasional lighting of the ABS light on our '06 Dynasty. Usually, if not always, it would happen after using the engine brake on long downhill grades. It usually stayed on for the rest of the leg, but reset on its own. I never did find out why or what would make it reset other than shutting down for a time. Experience led me to believe that I was not adding measurable risk by driving with those lights on.
Both of those systems are additional safety systems and I believe that those lights are reporting that the additional feature may not be 100% operational. But I do not believe that they would create any significant safety issues for operating the coach unless you may be driving on slick or wet surfaces and experience a hard braking event.
The Dynasty owners manual says, "ABS/ATC Control Module: The ABS/ATC controller monitors road speed of each wheel, braking conditions and ABS function." It goes on to say, "When the ignition is turned on, the ABS indicator illuminates momentarily (3 seconds) verifying the self-diagnostic test. If the ABS indicator light remains on, or illuminates while the motorhome is being operated, this indicates a fault in the anti-lock brake system. This fault will not affect normal service braking. The motorhome will need to go to a service center to repair the problem." It also says, "If a fault code occurs, call a Bendix service locator at 1-800-247-2725 and take the motorhome to the nearest repair facility.
Hopefully your light will go out and stay out for most, if not all, of your future driving experiences.

Your coach should be safe to drive with the light on, the ABS system will be disabled but your main braking system should work.
Check your manual, there may be a description of the system and how to check for fault codes.
In my case I have a small ABS module located in my by front drivers side electrical bay. It looks like this http://www.nwrvsupply.com/product/16614041.html but note the part is obsolete.
I've had my ABS come on intermittently over the last 13 years but have been able to trouble shoot and fix using the above module. The last time the problem was actually the module itself, the button that you press was not releasing properly and I had to take apart, clean, and bend the small spring feet to elevate it higher above the contacts.

Hi Stan!
I used to have this identical issue with my coach. I'd have to shut it off and let it reset and then I'd be fine for awhile.
I found that my wiring harness going to the throttle position sensor at the throttle pedal was incredibly tight and pulling on the plug itself. I checked this after someone told me the throttle position sensor could be the issue. I then rerouted the wire harness sprayed it good with elect. contact cleaner and that was two years ago and I've not had a light come on since.
Something simple to check.
Good luck!

I had a problem with the light coming on intermittently and it was one of the wheel sensors not seated correctly.

ABS light is pretty simple from my experience on my Beaver, wheel sensor replacement (cheap) or reset needed if not burnt off from heat. Other than ABS not functioning when on it may not have functional cruise control.

Are these lights on while moving? ABS modules finish the system check (reads wheel speeds) above 10 mph. At key on they do a half system check after a few half system checks it needs to see wheel speeds for a final check.

If like my 06 Diplomat, the Bendix ABS ATC controller is under the side panel with the transmission control and leveling system. If you ground the output light line the controller will give you the error code helping you identify the issue. Mine was a rear wheel sensor.
