ATS Coil Replacement

I'm going to be replacing the contactor coil on the ESCO ES50M-65N ATS. The instructions look pretty straightforward. Aside from ensuring all the power is off, and wires are labeled well, is there anything else I need to do or be careful of while installing?

I am having an intermittent failure to switch to gen power, that's the reason for changing the coil. It was also testing 0 ohm open circuit.

Thanks. Chuck

Usually the generator is the default position meaning that when there is no power applied to the coil the generator is selected by default. Check the contacts to make sure they are not burnt.

0 ohms is a short circuit. Open on most meters reads 0.L

The only caution I'd give you is the one I gave KEITH as we attached the horn back on his MOtorcycle.. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN AND BREAK THE BOLT.... Alas. I was a bit late with my warning, I was telling him how I had a tendency to overtighten and brake that size (1/4") bolt so I'd let him .. Break it as it turns out.. Thankfully I had a box of spares that I actually had no use for.. Grade 8.. he did not break that one .

I have some other warnings. .. but you covered them
