Automatic door lock
2005 HR SCEPTER with Trimark locking system, the front door locks when closed without use of keypad or fob, this is a new occurrence, anyone have experienced this issue?

Do you mean as you are closing the door or at random after the door is closed (as if you had used the fob)?
For instance, mine locked/unlocked at what appeared to be random times. I suspected "nearby interference" (someone with a similar fob) but could never track it down. I eventually disconnected the solenoid in the door. I always used the deadbolt anyway.

Do the cargo hatches also lock or just the door?

I need to correct what is actually occurring, when I start to move the handle, both inside or outside, the locking mechanism engages, I can see the manual lock handle start moving to close when I try to open the door from the inside, the same must be occurring when trying to open from the outside.

Possibly ... someone else can probably chime in ... this sounds familiar but is not the problem I had. If you remove the inside door panel it will probably be more obvious.

The clip holding the shaft rod to the handle broke, causing the door to automatically lock, replaced clip rod holder, all works normally.
