Backup Camera for Holiday Rambler

WE have an 05 Holiday Rambler Endeavor. The camera has almost faded away. How to replace it? And, can it be replaced with a color unit?

I probably have the same camera/display as you.

I'm assuming you have turned up the brightness control on the display and wiped off the camera lens?

We had this installed on our new trailer. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Had a friend run the wire under the truck, hook to keyed fuse, and into pickup bed where we hook it them together. I would also buy this, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to be sure you have enough.

We use ours as a full-time camera so we can see what is behind us and when we are clear when we pass.

lpduet-

First off, welcome to iRV2!

Second, you should add a signature to your user profile. It usually includes info about your coach, but people put other stuff in it, too. A signature prevents you having to type that info into each post. Instructions are here.

On the camera issue, look first at what Arch recommends. If that doesn't fix the problem, you may want to diagnose the display ("fade out" could be at the receiving end). For help in both diagnosing and offering replacements that will work in your coach without rewiring (something you don't want to do if you don't have to), give Tim at RVCams a call. He helped me out a lot. RVcams Web site is here, and the phone number is (225) 261-9946.

By the way, our coach's black-and-white display had to be relocated for better viewing and more secure mounting. I ended up feeding the camera video into the Garmin GPS. It's still black-and-white, but there is one fewer display in/on the dash. I'll run this way until the camera fails, then replace it with a color unit.
