I agree with Drifter .... and would add that the effort vs reward is way too small. After all: the slide is still just above you, and still remains a "head knocker".
My rig came with a slide/tray in the front thru-bay, and I added a home-brew slide drive motor. It uses the same chain-drive technique found on the professionally sold motor-driven slide. It is definitely a "back saver" fer sur. So all of my "frequently needed" stuff is on that slide now.
