Bathroom Exhaust Fan Issues - 06 HR Ambassador

Does anyone know the brand or model number for the exhaust fan in the bathroom ceiling of a 2006 Holiday Rambler Ambassador? It has a pad on the wall that operates the fan. It has manual and automatic features. Mine started running slow and finally quit. Is this a pretty simple install? Has anyone done theirs?

Thanks!

Curtis -

I have no idea what fan is installed in your coach. However, I have upgraded and replaced three fans in different coaches so far. It is a pretty simple process as they are all 12v power and pretty much fit the same size opening. The newer ones come with a remote instead of a wall pad, but you can probably figure out the manufacturer and model by taking off the screen and looking either at the motor or the sides. Then you may be able to match it (though they may not make that model any longer). Personally, I would just choose the fan that I wanted that fits the opening and either use the existing pad or replace it with whatever came with the new fan.

Good luck!

Thanks for the response! The one in the living room has a remote and a wall pad. The one in the bathroom only has the wall pad but you can set it to come on and go off at certain temps. I think it's a nice one. If they are all pretty much the same dimension wise then I can just shop for what I want. I appreciate the info!!

I have a 'fantastic fan' in my bathroom. It's what came with my coach. Sounds like that is what you have. They had great customer service but were bought out by dometic.

I recently replaced the front fan with a maxx fan 4500k. Seems like a better fan, faster motor and more features. It has a remote, but the dimensions through the roof were the same. Swap out was pretty easy.

See if this gives you any help should you choose to repair, rather than replace.

I've done a couple of repairs on ours, and it's doing well. It is an '06, also. My biggest problem has been with the coupling between the motor output shaft and the gear drive for the lifting arm.
