there is 'manual equalization' but the manual says nothing about it.
Greg ... I had trouble getting info about it for my Freedom/Xantrax 3-stage unit too. There was a little info in the manual, but when I couldn't make it work a Coachnet tect talked me thorugh how to start the equalizing process. You can find a copy of the checklist I put together from the two sources on my webpage at . Maybe it will work for you, or at least get you headed in the right direction. Older Freedom units had dip switches you had to manipulate, but yours should work thorugh the control panel like mine does.

Am I pulling up more recent descriptions with my 10 year old unit not having that feature or is there some way of doing this that is so obvious its not mentioned in the manual or what?......thanks.

If you have the RC7 remote for that inverter, you start the equalization cycle by holding down the "Settings" button for 15 seconds. One of the lights will start blinking rapidly.
