Battery level at rest

Hi,
I know we have 12v batteries and I can set my ags to come on at anything below 12.2 volts, but what should our meter read if the salesmen switch is off and no power coming?


Mine says 12.5 right now...

Resting voltage on 12 volt batteries is between 12.6 and 12.7 volts.
That's after 4 or more hours of no charging or discharging.

Your Battery Disconnect switch may not be shutting everything off. Remove a cable and put your meter leads in series with it.( One lead on the cable end and one lead on the battery post you took it off of )

If you see any voltage reading with the disconnect switch in store mode, something is still on.

Good 12.5 after a week parked at the shop then was good !



I went over there yesterday and set tha gs on - will go turn it off today so it doesn't scare the mechanic to death

Depends on the type of 12V batteries...AGMs have 0.1-0.2 higher resting voltage than flooded Lead acid.
