We've camped frequently in temps down to 16 degrees F and the system heat hasn't come on until we were in the low 20s. Our waste and fresh water tanks are behind the service bay and have a lot of retained heat if they are partially full, keeping the bay above freezing.

new snap disc

i'm considering replacing the existing snap disc with a 45/65. I will use an upside down can of air to test the current snap disk. Let you know the results.

Keep in mind, that heater is a big draw on your batteries!

When your not hooked up to shore power, you really don't want that heater running, unless it has to.

Got it Wide Glide. I'm plugged into my new 50amp box I put in at the house. All good.

So the test went real well. Upside down can of air (freon) did the trick. I was able to get the snap disc to close and turn the heater on. So I know it all works. The only question is...at what cold temp will it close. I guess Ill have to drive up to Alaska to find out, beings it's April here in Pioneer, CA. Still might put a new 45/65 snap disk in. Not a high priority at this time. Thanks to all of you that helped me trouble shoot the bay heater.
