I purchased a repo 2005 38 Safari Cheetah 38PDQ. It has the same bedroom engine access hatch that I am sure are in most Monaco products. I have pushed the buttons and released the levers and can not lift it.
Is is stuck or am I stupid and doing something wrong. I just got the manuals from Monaco after waiting 2 months and can not find any instructions for the hatch! Please help a poor stupid unabled hatch remover!

On my HR ya can turn the screws there on the latch and that locks them so that when ya step on them they dont pop up.. Try turning the screws back and see what happens .

That is great to know. I've stubbed my toe more than once on a popped up latch. Thanks for the tip.

Tried it today, the screws were not locked down, the buttons release the levers. I am just getting week in my old age, the suction was so strong, I had to pry a corner to break it loose! It would seem that however owned it before it was repoed never had the hatch open. It only had 5K miles and the fluids and filters were good when I had them changed.
